Disordered Eating

Do you feel a loss of control when you're around food?

Do you skip meals, or do you rigidly restrict your food intake?

Are you consumed with thoughts about your body shape or your weight?

Many people are aware of what an eating disorder is, but disordered eating may sound less familiar. Disordered eating is not a diagnosis but a phrase used to describe a range of problematic eating behaviors. The signs and symptoms of disordered eating are similar to those of an eating disorder, although they will vary with frequency and severity.

Outpatient Therapy

Individual outpatient therapy offers a private, one-on-one space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind with a licensed therapist. Therapy is a place to feel supported as you work through challenges, build coping skills, and develop greater self-understanding and self-compassion. Outpatient therapy works well for people who are medically stable and able to manage daily life while receiving consistent therapeutic support.

Our therapeutic approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and centered around you. We draw from a variety of evidence-based and experiential practices to meet your unique needs and goals. Depending on what feels most helpful, therapy may include approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness. Therapy is a collaborative process, which means you and your therapist work together to clarify goals, explore challenges, and support meaningful, lasting change.

For clients navigating eating disorders or related concerns, care may involve collaboration with a broader treatment team, such as a dietitian, physician, or psychiatrist, to ensure well-rounded support. Sessions often focus on building a more peaceful relationship with food and body, managing anxiety or mood concerns, and gently exploring underlying emotional or relational patterns.

Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes and are scheduled weekly or as clinically appropriate. Therapy is a process that unfolds over time, and progress can look different for everyone. Your therapist will work with you to pace treatment in a way that feels supportive, realistic, and aligned with your needs.

Outpatient Nutrition and Functional Medicine Services

Our nutrition and functional medicine services are designed to support both physical and emotional healing through a thoughtful, whole-person approach to nourishment and wellness. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we look at what your body may need to feel more balanced, energized, and supported as you move toward recovery. The goal is to help your body heal, restore vitality, and build a foundation for sustainable, long-term well-being.

Our work is grounded in functional medicine, which means we take time to understand the underlying factors that may be contributing to how you’re feeling. This can include digestion, hormone balance, inflammation, nutrient levels, metabolism, and the effects of stress on the body. Care is always individualized and may involve nutrition assessments, lab work when helpful, supplement guidance, and lifestyle recommendations that align with your recovery goals.

The nutrition component focuses on rebuilding a healthier, more trusting relationship with food and your body. Together, we work on re-establishing regular, balanced eating, tuning back into internal cues, and reducing fear or stress around food. Your nutritionist collaborates closely with your therapist so that care feels consistent, connected, and supportive. Support may include meal planning, intuitive eating education, and gentle guidance around challenging foods, all at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Everything we recommend is tailored to your unique history, needs, and readiness for change. The process is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and designed to prioritize both physical healing and emotional safety.

Nutrition and functional medicine sessions typically last between 15 and 60 minutes and may be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on your needs and progress. Coordination with your broader care team (such as your therapist, physician, or psychiatrist) is an important part of ensuring you feel fully supported every step of the way.

Group Therapy

Group therapy differs from individual therapy by holding therapeutic sessions in a group setting run by a therapist instead of in a private one-on-one setting with a therapist. In these group sessions, patients share their thoughts and experiences with the whole group, allowing them to support one another while being supported by a group of people who understand what they're going through.

If you’ve been feeling hopeless or alone lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels unsurmountable, group therapy could help you improve your everyday life.
